Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you and Seventeen Soft d.o.o., a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Serbia, company number 22120468, tax id 115150098, registered at Zivka Davidovica 88, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia ("we", "us"). They govern your use of EstimateTask at estimatetask.com and the application behind it (the "Service"). EstimateTask is a service we operate, not a separate company.
By creating an account, joining a workspace, or voting through a share link, you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may bind it.
1. What the Service does
EstimateTask is a planning-poker tool. A workspace holds projects and tasks; people vote on an estimate in a room, votes stay hidden until they are revealed, and the Service computes averages per role group. Managers administer the workspace; members vote; guests can be invited into a single project through a share link without an account.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You need an account to use the Service, except as a guest voter. Keep your credentials secret; you are responsible for everything done under your account until you tell us it is compromised. You must be at least 16 years old.
The first person to create a workspace becomes its manager. The manager controls the workspace: they invite and remove members, assign role groups, choose the plan, set the workspace theme, and can delete the workspace and everything in it. If you join a workspace someone else created, that workspace's owner, not you, decides what happens to its content. A workspace must keep at least one manager.
Inviting someone means giving us their email address so we can send them an invitation. Only invite people who expect to hear from you.
3. Plans, trial and quotas
Every new workspace starts on a 30-day trial with no feature limits. When the trial ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan automatically and any content over the Free limits is archived rather than deleted; it becomes available again if you upgrade.
The plans and their enforced limits:
| Free | Mid | Top | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price (USD, per workspace) | 0 | 29 / month, or 23 / month billed annually | 79 / month, or 63 / month billed annually |
| Projects | 1 | unlimited | unlimited |
| Tasks per project | 10 | unlimited | unlimited |
| Members | 5 | 20 | unlimited |
| Custom scales | built-in scales only | unlimited | unlimited |
| Role groups | 4 | unlimited | unlimited |
| Voting history kept | 30 days | 90 days | forever |
Limits are enforced when you create something, so an existing item is never destroyed for being over a limit. History older than your plan's window stops being visible in the Service.
We may change prices or limits. If a change affects a paid plan you are on, we will tell you by email before it applies to your next renewal, and you may cancel instead of accepting it.
4. Payment
Paid plans are sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle, not us, is the seller for your purchase: it takes the payment, issues the invoice, and handles sales tax and VAT. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's own terms and refund policy, and your card and billing details are collected and held by Paddle. We only receive the identifiers and subscription status we need to unlock your plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the interval you chose (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Cancel any time from Settings, Billing, which opens Paddle's customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the workspace moves to Free and the Free limits apply.
Refunds are handled by Paddle under its policy. Beyond that we are not obliged to refund a partly used period, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
5. Guests and share links
A manager can create a share link that lets people vote in one project without an account. A guest gives only a display name and, optionally, a role group. Anyone holding the link can join, so treat it as a secret; links expire and can be revoked at any time from the project's settings. A guest's name and votes belong to the workspace's content, and the workspace's manager can remove them.
6. Your content
Everything you put into a workspace, meaning project and task names, descriptions, votes, custom scales, avatars and the workspace logo, stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the Service: to store that content, show it to the other people in the workspace, and process it to compute estimates, statistics and exports.
You are responsible for what you put in. Do not upload anything you have no right to use, and do not put personal data into a task title or description that you would not be comfortable showing to everyone in the workspace, including guests you invite into that project.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe someone's rights, or send unsolicited email through our invitations. Do not attempt to reach data belonging to another workspace, probe or bypass our access controls, disassemble the Service, resell it, or load it in a way designed to degrade it for other customers. We may suspend an account or a workspace that does any of this, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service up but we do not promise an uptime figure, and there is no service level agreement on any plan. We may change, suspend for maintenance, or discontinue parts of the Service. If we discontinue something you paid for, we will tell you in advance and refund the unused part of your period through Paddle.
Support is by email at hello@estimatetask.com. Real-time voting depends on a live connection; when it drops, the room falls back to periodic refreshes, which is slower but still correct.
9. Ending the contract
You can stop at any time. A member can delete their own account from Settings, Security; a manager must first hand the workspace to another manager or delete it. Deleting a workspace deletes its projects, tasks, voting history, share links and the member profiles in that workspace, and it cannot be undone.
We may terminate for a material breach of these terms that you do not fix within 14 days of us asking you to, or immediately for the conduct in section 7.
10. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Estimates produced by the Service are your team's opinions, not a professional judgement by us, and you should not treat them as a guarantee of anything.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us for the Service in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or a consumer's statutory rights.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Updated" date at the top always tells you the current version. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new version.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and the courts of Belgrade, Serbia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you use the Service as a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in and may bring a claim in your local courts.
